I am an exhibiting artist using different mediums – painting, textiles and

woodcuts.  Lately, I have specialised in textiles using natural dyes and

shibori dye resist techniques, making and dyeing silk scarves.

 

I was introduced to art, natural dyes and textiles by my mother during my

childhood.  This interest was reignited at various points in my life both

in England and Australia through my studies and through workshops. 

I discovered the art of shibori and further natural dye techniques in my

textile studies, which was further developed at the Plant Craft Cottage

Natural Dye Group within the Melbourne Botanic Gardens, Victoria,

Australia.
