There are two days after today to go on this workshop - has gone amazingly quickly. Today we have an ikebana talk and a lady will come to demonstrate weaving. We are all trying to finish our various projects so there is a lot of sitting stitching and dyeing.

A few of us got up early yesterday and went for a walk in the forest looking for monkeys. However, we did't see monkeys, heard one in the distance, but we had an adventure by getting lost in the forest in very steep hill country .... and were late for breakfast. We exercised some orienteering skills and came out on a road near a temple and found our way home - we didn't repeat the exercise this morning, but still have not seen monkeys, just heard them.

This statue was in front of the temple we came across

We finished the day with a wonderful meal cooked by Hiro, our Brazilian Japanese cook. He is an ikebana artist and the house is filled with beautiful arrangements. Afterwards we all stitched and stitched.
