Last Day Walking Around .....

I am flying out of Tokyo tomorrow so today was a finishing up day in a way. Going down to the hotel lobby I found this little robot that turned its head as I tried to photograph it...I got it anyway. Not really being a 'tourist' I took some photographs of miscellaneous value and interest below.

I tried to find a department store with a food hall in the lower floor. However, even though the guide books talked about these being prevalent around the Shinjuku area and how fantastic the food halls were, I was unable to find one. Probably in the wrong place. I ran out of time as I met a friend to have lunch together late morning. As we walked towards a little Okinawan restaurant, I noticed some Australian Flannel Flowers in a row of pot plants.

We had a lovely lunch and then strolled around talking and taking in what a normal Japanese lunch hour might be like in an everyday Japan lunch hour. We enjoyed talking and I took some
photographs.

This is the cleaned up Red Light district and some cinemas with Godzilla peeping over one cinema in the background.

Subaru House

A Shinto Temple where we said a prayer

This sign says to this effect, to take care of the crows and what they do (I think).
All of this is situated in about a square mile and just interesting aspects of Shinjuku area where I stayed, and how diverse it all is from very classy to basic. There was also a huge park nearby too, like the Melbourne Botanic Gardens, but older, and more established, which one pays to go into because they have guards there.
